About Hospital Medicine:

Hospital Medicine is a medical specialty dedicated to the delivery of comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. Practitioners of hospital medicine include physicians (“hospitalists”) and non-physician providers who engage in clinical care, teaching, research, or leadership in the field of general hospital medicine. In addition to their core expertise managing the clinical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized patients, hospital medicine practitioners work to enhance the performance of hospitals and healthcare systems.

Jack S. Goldstein, MD

Dr. Jack Goldstein is working as an ETSU hospitalist in internal medicine in Johnson City. Goldstein has worked as a hospitalist in the area since 1997. Prior to that, he had a private practice in internal medicine for three years.

Goldstein received his Doctor of Medicine from St. Lucia Health Science University and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Columbia Institute of Chiropractic. He conducted his residency in internal medicine at ETSU in the 1980s. Outside of work, Goldstein is involved in animal rescue, fostering animals from area shelters.
