Dr. Hajianpour, MD, PhD joined the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics as Professor and Chief of the Division of Medical Genetics. Dr. Hajianpour is Board-certified in Clinical Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics. He is providing Medical Genetics Services to the patients at Quillen ETSU Physicians Clinics, Mountain States Health Alliance Hospitals and Clinics, and community physicians and hospitals in East Tennessee. The services include Pediatric and Adult Genetics, General Genetics, Biochemical Genetics, Prenatal Genetics, and Cancer Genetics. Dr. Hajianpour is in the process of building up a comprehensive Medical Genetics Program at the ETSU and gradually expanding the program and adding the personnel of Clinical Geneticists and Genetic Counselors.
Dr. Hajianpour received his medical degree from the University of Tehran in 1975; his PhD in Human Genetics in Newcastle, England, United Kingdom in 1983; completed his Pediatric Residency / Clinical Genetics Fellowship from the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, FL, in 1987; and his Clinical Cytogenics Fellowship was completed in 1993 at the Genetics Institute, Pasadena, CA.
