About Dermatology:

Skin is the first line of defense to underlying muscles, bones, ligaments and internal organs.  Throughout a lifetime it experiences many insults and injuries and frequently becomes diseased.  It can also reveal to the skillful clinician some of the earliest and best clues to serious internal illnesses.  A dermatologist is concerned with the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails and, most importantly, the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting them, the oral cavity and genitals.

Though trained and certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Leicht’s practice is restricted to Dermatology.  His particular interests are inflammatory skin diseases (including psoriasis, eczemas and blistering disorders), skin infections, difficult, complicated, unusual and challenging skin disorders, collagen vascular diseases, skin tumors, precancers and cancers and skin cancer surgery.
